TOURISM WEEK
National Tourism Week is celebrated across the nation to help promote travel to and within the United States, and works to increase awareness of the travel and tourism industry’s economic, social, and cultural contributions to the United States.
TOURISM IN LUFKIN
The importance of travel and tourism on Lufkin and Angelina County’s economy will be highlighted during local activities to recognize National Tourism Week, May 10– 18, 2008. “Discovering Great East Texas Traditions” will be the bureau’s theme this year to educate citizens and city officials about the positive impact travel and tourism has on the local economy.

Photo Submissions are due by April 30, 2008. Voting begins May 1, 2008 and will end May 30, 2008.
