LUFKIN, TX. A New York City actor meets a Parisian-born writer at a popular noodle shop in Manhattan, during an open jazz jam. And before you know it, THE HOT SARDINES were bringing their contagious brand of joy to audiences all over the world. Now - they bring their high energy, hard-hitting style to East Texas, Tuesday April 5, at 7:30 pm. on stage at the Temple Theater. Considered by many to be the #1 jazz band in NYC, this 8-piece ensemble combines powerhouse musicians, a sultry lead singer, and their very own tap dancer to play “hot jazz” as it was in the era when live music was king…with a little glamour, a little grit, and a lot of passion.
