Tickets are available today for the seventh edition of one of Lufkin’s most popular events.
Lufkin’s Bistro, one of several tasting events that showcase Lufkin as an East Texas wine and food destination, will take place from 7-10 p.m. on Oct. 1.
“Like a great wine, Lufkin’s Bistro gets better and better with age,” said Tara Watson-Watkins, executive director of the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We know people love to travel for a great food experience, and Lufkin’s Bistro provides just that with the help and support from our local restaurants, chefs and our partner, Brookshire Brothers.”
According to Watson-Watkins, this year’s event will take visitors on a trip around the world, one sip at a time, with a selection of wines and craft beers from across the globe, organized by country and region with flags to help identify favorites.
The Grateful Geezers will provide live music during the event.
Only a limited number of tickets are available, and the event typically sells out quickly.
Tickets are $40 per person or $350 for a reserved table of eight. Out-of-town guests who are participating in the Pineywoods Purgatory can get tickets for just $30 each as part of a stay-and-play package.
For ticket information, call 633-0359 or go by the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau office at 1615 S. Chestnut St. in Lufkin.
Must be 21 or older to attend.
In case of rain, the event will take place at the George H. Henderson Jr. Exposition Center.
