Hiking Trails

Lufkin and Angelina County is fortunate to have an abundance of natural areas that allow the public to connect with the great outdoors. There are multiple day hikes located within the Lufkin city limits, and there are backpacking opportunities located in the two national forests that surround Angelina County. Some of these trails are located within the national forests which are managed by the United States Forest Service.
