The second annual Fall Farm Feast begins with a wine-and-cheese hour featuring live music at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26th, at Angelina County Farmers Market, 2107 S Medford Dr. A sit-down, four-course meal with wine pairings will follow at 7. Local chefs will use fresh, flavorful ingredients from farms within a 100-mile radius of Lufkin, and Brookshire Brothers will provide specialty cheeses, wines and beers.
Organizers describe the event as "snappy casual," blending an elegant dinner with a fun, laid-back atmosphere. The first-ever event sold out in six hours so don’t wait to purchase your tickets. Tables are $500 and individual tickets are $50 per person.
"Lufkin's Farm Feast is about sharing a meal and some special time with family and friends while celebrating the abundant bounty of our East Texas farmers," said Watson-Watkins. "These sorts of farm-to-table events are the new big thing, and they're growing more and more popular. With our summer event going off so well, even on the hottest day of the year, we feel like this is the perfect way to bring in fall flavors, colors and smells. It's exciting to be a part of bringing the hottest thing in fine dining to Lufkin."
