LUFKIN – The Texas Forestry Museum is developing a new temporary exhibit that will feature antique kitchen gadgets from the late 1800s through the 1950s.
If your family has an antique gadget that your grandmother or great grandmother may have used in the kitchen, consider sharing an interesting piece of history with others.
Children and visitors from across the state, nation and from many foreign countries will have an opportunity to view your family’s heirlooms.
Only kitchen gadgets in good condition from the correct time-period will be considered for the exhibit. All items chosen for the exhibit will be temporarily loaned to the museum and safely displayed beginning at Sawmill Sampler on May 20th through the end of August.
Owner’s name and the item’s history will be featured in the exhibit for all to learn from and enjoy. The deadline for submitting kitchen gadgets is April 30.
